Q: Where is Germany Week?

A: Daley Plaza, the Loop, Chicago. 50 W Washington St.  between Washington, Clark and Dearborn Streets.

Q: When is the festival open?

A: April 26 - May 5, 2019.

Monday – Thursday: 11:00am - 7:00pm
Friday – Saturday: 11:00am - 8:00pm
Sunday: 11:00am - 6:00pm

Q: What else can I do in the Loop?

A: The Loop is a great place to spend a whole day. For itineraries and suggestions, visit the Chicago Loop Alliance's page.

Q: Where do I park for  Germany Week?

A: Please note that there is very limited street or metered parking available around the market. We recommend booking convenient and affordable parking in advance through SpotHero, the nation’s leading parking reservation app.

Q: How do I get there?

A: Germany Week is easily accessible to visitors from all over. Visitors can arrive by car, bus, train, foot, or taxi. Visit our directions page for detailed instructions.

Q: Is the festival outside?

A: Most of the festival is outdoors - vendors are arranged on an outdoor plaza and visitors can walk up to their windows to shop. Almost all events are to be found in our heated event tent. 

Q: How do I work at Germany Week?

A: We are not in charge of hiring for the vendors’ booths. However, you can feel free to send us your contact information!  If we learn that a vendor is interested in hiring staff, we will pass on your contact information to them and they will reach out to you directly. 

Q: How do I perform at the festival?

A: If you'd like to perform with your group at Germany Week, contact us by filling out our contact form!  One of our staff will get back to you with availability as soon as possible. 

Q: Are dogs allowed?

A: Yes, dogs are allowed in the outside area of the festival, as long as they are on a leash.

Q: I have an allergy, how do I know what is safe to eat?

A: We cannot guarantee any food to not have an allergen. Your best bet is to speak directly to that vendor at the market. 

Q: How do I get in contact with a vendor?

A: We are unable to share vendors' contact information if it is not publicly available. If you'd like to get in contact with a specific vendor and cannot find their information, please fill out the contact form.

Q: How do I become a volunteer?

A: If you are interested in volunteering at Germany Week, please contact us..

Q: Is the festival wheelchair accessible?

A: Yes, the plaza and all buildings are wheelchair accessible. 

Q: Will the festival be open when the weather is bad?

A: Yes, Germany Week will be open during regular hours, unless there is an official emergency declared by the City of Chicago, or if the conditions are deemed unsafe for our vendors. We take our vendors’ safety very seriously. If conditions force us to close, we will announce it on our social media pages.

Q: Can I pay everything by credit card, or should I bring cash?

A: Most merchandise vendors accept debit/credit cards; however, there are some food and beverage vendors that do only accept cash. ATMs are available on site.

Q: Do I have to sign up to attend a particular event at Germany Week?

A: Most events during Germany Week require no sign-up and are free to attend. Simply show up and enjoy the event. Visit our calendar of events for details. The only exception is the wine fest.
